Online Course Evaluation Forms (Required) View Faculty Instructions
The primary purpose of this evaluation is to assess the effectiveness of classroom instruction. All students must complete this evaluation. Your individual responses are kept confidential.
The evaluation notice will appear on your class screen about 21 days before the end of the semester. You will have approximately one week to complete the evaluation until access to your Class Menu will be locked. 14 days before the end of the semester, if you do not open the file and either respond to the questions or click on "no response," you will be "locked out" of the Class Menu until you do complete the evaluation. This means that you will not be able to enter the classroom. Once you have completed the evaluation, you will regain access to the classroom. If you have any problem getting back in your classroom, you should immediately contact WebTycho support at 1.800.807.4862 or at webtychosupport@umuc.edu.
Turn off advertising pop-up window blocking software If you have a pop-up stopper program installed and enabled on your computer, it will prevent the 21-day reminder from opening, and will prevent you from accessing the evaluation form. Before you log into WebTycho, please turn this program off temporarily, and then turn it on again after logging out.
This notice regarding the Course Evaluation is provided to all users each semester.
Dear Online Student: Within a few weeks before the end of the semester, a pop-up dialogue box will appear every time you log into your WebTycho classroom (Students in Web-enhanced classroom courses will not receive this pop-up box. You will receive your evaluation form in your classroom). The purpose of this box is to ensure that you interact with the online course evaluation form for your class. This data collection is important for several reasons:
It is a way to measure the quality of your course by assessing your feedback on curriculum design, and faculty interaction and effort. The data are used for future research into the new phenomenon of online education, and to help measure the overall quality of courses and services for you as our student. These data will be used in reports to our accrediting body, the Middle States Association of Colleges and School. The accreditation signifies the quality and integrity of the institution.
Your responses to the questions on the form are completely confidential. In the event you choose not to respond, there is a "no response" option for each question. Your instructor will not see your personalized responses at any time during or after the course. All data will go directly to a database and will not be seen by the instructor until several weeks after the course has ended.
When you see the pop-up box appear, please take that opportunity to complete the evaluation. Regardless of your choice of responses, you must complete the form before the second-to-last week of classes in order to maintain access to your class through the end of the term.
